That means starting with the highest quality ingredients for our carefully tested recipes, and making sure our equipment is perfectly calibrated and our facility is spotlessly clean.
Making beautiful baked goods means using the best ingredients so we choose suppliers that meet our standards. We use high grade flours, sugars and butter, and we prefer to source meats and vegetables for our pies from clean, green New Zealand farms.
Each ingredient is assessed for nutritional quality and potential allergens, and we avoid using ingredients with artificial additives wherever possible.
The baking process is monitored every step of the way to ensure perfect results, every time. From the golden finish of our shortbread cookies to the perfect icing on our slices and the fillings in our pies – it’s about quality every step of the way.
We are members of BIANZ (Baking Industry Association of New Zealand) and employ their official Food Safety Programme – a HACCP-certified programme used by the baking industry and approved by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA).
We also maintain British Retail Consortium (BRC) global certified standards and are proud to be associated with major supermarkets and distributors. The Woolworths Quality Assurance certification (WQA) and Coles Audit are benchmarked against global food safety standards and international retailing best practice, and ensure we meet the rigorous quality assurance standards demanded by our customers.
